To avoid a "glitter bomb" effect, start by using a tapered, fluffy blush brush. Swirl it into the pan, then tap the handle against your wrist to shake off excess shimmer particles—this ensures the glow is diffused, not chunky. Use light, circular sweeping motions starting from the high points of your cheekbones and blending inward toward the apples of your cheeks. Because the powder contains light-reflecting pigments, let the brush do the work; you don't need much pressure to see the luminosity.

Pro Tip: If you have textured skin or enlarged pores, keep the shimmer away from the center of your face. Focus the shimmery blush on the outer "C" of your cheekbones (near your temples) and use a matte blush on the apples of your cheeks for a smoother, blurred finish.
